Getting Started

How do I create an account?

Download HMU from the App Store or Google Play. Tap 'Get Started' and follow the prompts to verify your age and set up your profile.

How does the 2-minute chat work?

When you tap 'Drop In', we match you with someone based on your interests. You'll get an icebreaker question and 2 minutes to chat. At the end, you both vote to continue or move on.

Can I change my preferences?

Yes! Go to Settings > Preferences to update your age range, interests, and other matching criteria.

Account & Profile

How do I edit my profile?

Tap your profile picture, then 'Edit Profile' to update your photos, bio, and interests.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. Your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

I forgot my password

On the login screen, tap 'Forgot Password' and enter your email. We'll send you a reset link.

Safety & Privacy

How do I block someone?

Open the chat or profile, tap the menu (three dots), and select 'Block'. They won't be able to contact you.

How do I report a user?

Tap the menu on their profile or chat, select 'Report', choose a reason, and provide details. Our team reviews all reports within 24 hours.

Is my data safe?

Yes! We use encryption, never sell your data, and you can delete everything anytime. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.

Troubleshooting

The app isn't working properly

Try closing and reopening the app. If issues persist, check for updates in your app store, or try uninstalling and reinstalling.

I'm not getting matches

Try expanding your preferences (age range, interests). Also make sure your profile is complete – users with photos and bios get more matches.

Messages aren't sending

Check your internet connection. If you're on WiFi, try switching to mobile data or vice versa.
